DescriptionThe sheet shows 6 stamps with cars from the former COMECON countries. The upper left stamp shows the Warszawa 220, also known as M20. The car has a characteristic round-back body and had been made earlier as the Pobeda M20 in the Soviet Union. In total 255,000 Warsawas were made at the Fabryka Samachodow Osobowych plant between 1951 and 1973. Many served as taxis and police and official vehicles. On the other stamps: Moskvitch 407 and Gaz 12 ZIM from the Soviet Union, Trabant P50 and Wartburg 311 from Eastern Germany and Tatra 2-603 from Czechoslovakia.
