Description | 4 sheets, each 8 stamps. On the frame the entrance of concentration camp Auschwitz in Poland. Inscription on frame: UN Resolution 60/7 /HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE / JANUARI 27. Around a symbol with 6 flames the text: WE WILL NEVER FORGET SIX MILLION. January 27 was the date in 1945 that Auswitch was liberated by Soviet troops. On each stamp a UN ambassador, who voted in favor of this resolution. Identical sheets were released by Antigua & Barbuda, Gambia, Grenada, Mustique (St. Vincent) and Palau. This issue doesn't have postal value and has been printed especially for collectors. |
