AEP

AEP means: Académie Européenne de Philatélie
In English: European Philatelic Academy

In December 1977  Jean Storch, an acclaimed French philatelist, launched the idea of establishing the Académie d’Etudes Postales (Academy of Postal Studies) in Paris. In 1988, facing an increasingly growing number of academy members, the name was changed into: Académie Européenne d’Etudes Philatéliques et Postales (AEEPP). In English: European Academy for Philatelic and Postal Studies.
In January 2000 the name was once again changed. Now its is:
Académie Européenne de Philatélie (AEP) ( European Academy of Philately).

The number of A.E.P. members is limited at 250. They represent 46 countries.
