DescriptionIn 1915, during World War I, the Austrian Army started an airline for military post. The route Vienna - Krakow - Lviv - Kiev had a total length of about 1,200 km. From 31 March 1918 this route was used for the private letter and telegrams transport. The stamp shows the loading of the aircraft type Oeffag C II with mailbags. Inscription 'TAG DER BRIEFMARKE' means 'Day of the Stamp'. Postage due stamp.
